Styron Floor Covering donates any overage or excess materials to the local Habitat Restore as well as our installation services. Styron Floor Covering was the tile installation crew that volunteered for the Extreme Home Makeover episode with Ty Pennington during their Lexington, NC build. We also donate our services to Make-A-Wish Foundation in hopes to make life a little better for the ill. On a national scale, we donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation along with the Ronald McDonald House. Our Mission Statement includes bettering the homes and hearts in Winston-Salem as well as nationally.

Our showroom staff has over 92 years of combined flooring sales and installation experience. The owners, Ronnie Rule and Alan Barabe both started installing floors before they took their knowledge into the showroom to better help customers with their flooring decisions.
Our installation staff has over 100 years of combined flooring experience and are hand-picked by Ronnie Rule and Alan Barabe to match the perfect installer with the perfect homeowner and appropriate job.
Styron Floor Covering was started in 1975 by John and JoAnn Styron. Shortly thereafter, John’s brother David joined the staff. Ronnie Rule, David’s brother-in-law, joined the staff in 1978. Alan Barabe, who married David and John’s Niece, joined the staff in 1998. In 2002, Ronnie and Alan purchased the business from David and have kept to the family values ever since.
We continue to make the family proud of their legacy with our excellent customer service and installations. It also helps that several of the original owners stop by occasionally to make sure we are staying on course.
